Where has the time gone?

I know it's been forever since I last blogged. We've been so busy. I hope you all will forgive me.

I'm so glad spring is finally here. Winter is my least favorite season. I don't go out unless I have to.
Quentin played basketball for two teams this winter. Rob coached one and then he played for the travel team again. Both seasons were great. Two weeks ago he played in Fort Wayne in a huge tournament. They won one game out of three. Better than last year. Yippee. He starts Soccer this week and baseball in May. Practices start this week for baseball so we'll be busy again. He received five A+ and two A's on his last report card. We also attended a parent meeting for middle school. I'm so not ready for that.

Allie is now 8 1/2 months old. She still hasn't crawled but she won't stay on her belly for two seconds. She immediately sits on her bottom. I told Rob just toady that she will probably never crawl. She scoots on her bottom to get where she wants. She is eating pretty much only table food now and she has become quite the little eater. She inhales her food. She also waves bye bye and gives kisses. Anything you ask her she shakes her head no. (that was a quick lesson) Everything is no. Rob asked her tonight at dinner if she was daddy's girl and her answer was a simple no. However her first word was Dada. Go figure. jk.

Hopefully I'll write again soon and I hope everyone is healthy and happy.
Take care,
Jama

I hope everyone is doing well. We've had a busy week and I thought I'd update a little.

Quentin was invited to participate in a county wide cross country meet for 4-6th graders. He finished 12th out of the boys division. He did very well. His two soccer games this weekend were cancelled for different reasons. That's always a bummer for him. We had a sixth grade meeting at school to meet with a middle school counselor to go over their schedules for next year. (I'm not ready for him to start middle school) He had to answer some questions about things he enjoys and then with the answers they chose him a "career". His career choice at this time was a business or sales person. Now, if any of you know him that is not something I could see him doing. I sort of hope that changes as he gets older. Who knows what the future holds for him. It is wonderful to watch him grow and see him become a young man. I hate him growing up but, I know everyone has to.

Alexandra went for her two month check up and she's growing like a weed. She weighs 11 pounds and 3 ounces and she is 24 inches long. She had to get two sets of shots and she cried for a good fifteen minutes afterward. I even cried with her. She goes back at four months and I'm making her dad go with us. I just can't hold her down for more shots. She just started to grasp items (like my hair) and she can hold her rattlers for a few seconds. She has finally stopped crying during bath time. She is just a happy and sweet little thing. I can't believe how lucky we are to have two wonderful and healthy kids.

That's all for now, take care and have a wonderful week.

Alexandra

OK, I have officially joined the blogger world. I hope this will help keep everyone updated to what is going on in our lives. We have had such a wonderful year and I hope and pray it continues to get better with each passing day. I know many of you would like updates on Quentin and Alexandra so I hope I can keep up with this. Only time will tell.

First, Alexandra is growing so quickly each day. I have a girl that works at the daycare that comes in twice a week and each week I hear from her how much Allie has grown since the last week. Allie is already sleeping through the night and she's only 2 1/2 months. I know I'm blessed. She smiles all the time and loves to lay on her blanket and look up at her toys. She will scream in delight at it. Who knows what she is thinking. We just introduced her to rice cereal yesterday and she did really well (well If you don't consider how much she spits out). She did even better tonight. I can't say how much of a blessing she is.

Next is Quentin. He has been playing soccer now for a few weeks. He is so talented when it comes to sports. (I know he gets his athletic ability from me) just kidding. I don't have an athletic bone in my body. He just started up basketball last week. The season doesn't start until December but the coaches wanted to start having practices now so hopefully the team can compete at the tournaments. He just brought home his midterm and he had all A's. He is such an excellent student. I couldn't ask for a better son.

Well, that's all for tonight chat with all of you later.
